1.ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT (HINDI TRANSLATOR) – 01 VACANCY
Essential Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subject at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognised University/Institute with minimum 01 year diploma in Hindi translation from Hindi to English & vice-versa.
Essential Work Experience: Minimum 2 years experience of translation of procedural and Non- procedural literatures from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central / State Govt. offices including Govt. of India undertaking.
Desirable: Knowledge of Konkani and Marathi languages is desirable.
2.STRUCTURAL FITTER – 34 VACANCIES
Essential Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess ITI & NCTVT (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in Structural Fitter / Fitter / Fitter General / Sheet Metal Worker trade.
Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess minimum 2 years experience in the line.
Desirable: Candidates who have undergone National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from Shipyards like Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Cochin Shipyard Limited and Goa Shipyard Limited etc. or have relevant work experience in Public Sector / Private Shipyards / Naval Workshops and have worked on weapon intensive vessels will be preferred.
3.REFRIGERATION & AC MECHANIC – 02 VACANCIES
Essential Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess ITI and NCTVT (National Apprenticeship Certificate) or ITI in trade of Refrigeration and AC Mechanic.
Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess minimum 2 years experience in the line.
Desirable: The candidate having National Certificate of Vocational Training from a recognized institute or a license authorizing him to handle refrigerators / A/Cs and installation, repairs, maintenance and commissioning of various types of refrigerators and A/Cs used in ships and off shores in a reputed shipbuilding industry or equivalent will be preferred.
4.WELDER – 12 VACANCIES
Essential Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess ITI & NCTVT (National
Apprenticeship Certificate) or ITI in the trade of Welder
Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess minimum 2 years experience in the line.

5.3G WELDER – 10 VACANCIES
Essential Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess ITI & NCTVT (National Apprenticeship Certificate) or ITI in the trade of Welder and should also have Certification in 3G Welding by any authorised Competent agency or Government Organisation.
Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess minimum 2 years experience in the line.

6.ELECTRONIC MECHANIC - 16 VACANCIES

7. ELECTRICAL MECHANIC – 11 VACANCIES

Electrician trade.

8.PLUMBER – 02 VACANCIES
Essential Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess SSC and ITI in Plumber trade.
Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess minimum 02 years experience in the line.
9.MOBILE CRANE OPERATOR - 01 VACANCY
Essential Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess SSC and Heavy Vehicle
Driving license.

10.PRINTER CUM RECORD KEEPER - 01 VACANCY
Essential Educational Qualification: The applicant should possess SSC with minimum 06 months certificate course in computer application.

Desirable: The candidate should be proficient in his trade and should be able to carry out all activities related to his trade.
11.COOK - 04 VACANCIES
Essential Educational Qualification: The applicant should possess SSC.
Essential Work Experience: Minimum 02 years cooking experience in any industry / Public sector Undertaking / Small or Medium Industry / Hotel etc.
Desirable: Candidates holding qualifications from Armed Force, Cookery/ Stewards training school and holding the rank of Leading Seamen / Equivalent can apply provided they fulfill the essential qualification & Experience. 28.TRAINEE WELDER – 10 VACANCIES
Essential Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess ITI and NCTVT (National Apprenticeship Certificate) or ITI in the trade of Welder.
Note: The selected candidates shall initially be on training period for 02 years. During the training period they shall receive stipend ₹ 7000/- per month during the 1st year & stipend of ₹ 7500/- per month during the 2nd year. After successful completion of the training
period based on his/her performance, the candidate may be absorbed in W–5 Grade i.e. Rs.15100-3%-53000 as Welder on regular basis subject to availability of the vacancies.
29.TRAINEE GENERAL FITTER – 03 VACANCIES
Essential Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess ITI and NCTVT (National Apprenticeship Certificate) or ITI in Fitter / Fitter General.
Note: The selected candidates shall initially be on training period for 02 years. During the training period they shall receive stipend ₹ 7000/- per month during the 1st year & stipend of ₹ 7500/- per month during the 2nd year. After successful completion of the training period based on his/her performance, the candidate may be absorbed in W–5 Grade i.e. Rs.15100-3%-53000 as General Fitter on regular basis subject to availability of the vacancies.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1)The candidates may note that the applications are to be made only through online application system as per the instructions given. Applications made in any other manner shall not be considered and shall be summarily rejected. Management will not be responsible for any application which is not received through online system. After completion of online registration and entering all the details, the candidates are required to take print out of online application form, attach all the relevant documents and post the same along with the Original Demand Draft to Goa Shipyard Limited.
2)An application fee in the form of Demand Draft of ₹ 200/- (Non-Refundable) in favor of “Goa Shipyard Limited” payable at Vasco-da-Gama, Goa is to be submitted per application. Application without prescribed fees shall be liable for rejection. No fee is to be paid by SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates as per Government of India rules. No fee is required to be paid by internal candidates who apply for the said post.
3)Candidates are required to forward a print out of the online application along with relevant documents and the original Demand Draft by post to Goa Shipyard Limited. The candidates shall mandatorily write their Application / Job Registration number, Name, Mobile Number, Name of the post and Advertisement No. on the reverse side of Demand Draft.
4)Non-receipt of hardcopy of the online application, relevant documents and Original Demand Draft, Demand Drafts not as per the prescribed norms or the hardcopy of online applications and Demand Drafts received after the last date, shall not be considered and shall be treated as “REJECTED” and no communication will be made in this regard.
5)Management reserves the right to fill or not to fill the posts and also to fill up future vacancies, if any from the valid panel of selected candidates as per the rules of the company. At the sole discretion of GSL Management the number of vacancies notified may be increased or reduced.
6)Mere fulfilment of qualifications and other requirements as laid down does not entitle a candidate to be called for selection process as applicable for the respective posts in accordance to the GSL rules.
7)The essential work experience should have been completed not earlier than three years from the cutoff date i.e. 28.02.2022 as per the advertisement. The candidate who has completed the essential work experience prior to 28.02.2019 and was employed in the field related to the essential work experience between 28.02.2019 and 28.02.2022 for any length of time, will also be considered.
8)SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates applying for a post where there are no vacancies in their respective reserved categories will be treated as General candidates and no relaxation in any criteria will be applicable to these candidates. However they will have to submit caste certificate, in the Prescribed Performa meant for “Appointment to posts under the Government Of India” from the designated authority indicating clearly the candidate’s caste, the Act/Order under which the caste is recognized as SC/ST/OBC (NCL) and the Village/Town the candidate is ordinarily a resident of. The OBC (NCL) certificate should not be more than 06 months old at the time of joining. Similarly, the candidates under Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category will have to submit the EWS certificate and other relevant documents issued by the competent authority. Similarly, the candidates under PwBD category will have to submit the disability certificate from the designated authority indicating clearly the percentage of disability.
9)If the SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD certificate has been issued in a language other than English/Hindi, the candidates will be required to submit a self-certified translated copy of the same either in English or Hindi. GSL reserves the right to verify the genuineness of the certificate and in case of false findings, necessary action will be taken against such candidates as per rules of GSL and Government guidelines as applicable.
10) Benefits for posts such as DA, HRA and other allowances will be applicable to the grade as per rules.
11)Candidates working in Government / Quasi Government / Public Sector Undertaking
/Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel or produce “No Objection
Certificate” at the time of selection process without which the candidates will not be
allowed for the selection process and also a document indicating the current pay scale and the date since working in the said pay scale is to be produced.
12)Management reserves the right to appoint any selected candidate in any position as per requirement of Company on any job rotation scheme, irrespective of position he has been originally selected for.
13)Outstation candidates who clear the written test and qualify for the Practical Test will be paid to and fro 2nd sleeper class rail fare by shortest route from their nearest railway station (as registered by them in the Online Application System) to Goa Shipyard Limited only on production of proof of journey (Hard copy of Tickets) as per rules of the Company. However, SC/ST candidates on being eligible for the written test and on appearing for written test will be reimbursed to and fro 2nd sleeper class rail fare by shortest route from their usual place of residence to GSL only on production of proof of journey (Hard copy of Tickets) as per rules of the Company.
14) Payment of TA shall be made through ECS mode after completion of the selection process only and candidates are expected to bring necessary details for making the payment through ECS mode. Normally TA claims will be paid within one month from the date of selection process. Application format along with ECS form is available on our website under the heading “Advertisements”.
15)Candidates having “Wait Listed” tickets for Rail journey are NOT entitled for TA Reimbursement.
16)The candidates applying for more than one post must apply separately for each post.
Application fees in the form of Demand Draft must be submitted separately for each post. Applications received contrary to instructions given shall be rejected.
17)For any dispute, the Jurisdiction shall be Goa only.

Other Information for candidates with regard to online application:
1.DD is valid for 3 months from the date of issue of Demand Draft. So, the candidates are advised to submit/post the original Demand Draft to Goa Shipyard Ltd. at the earliest after making the DD.
