Nothing Phone (2a) launch set for March 5: What we know so far
Nothing previously stressed that the Phone (2a) will still represent a noteworthy upgrade over the Phone (1).

Nothing’s next smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a), will be unveiled on March 5, the company has confirmed.
In a recent video, Nothing CEO Carl Pei hinted that the Phone (2a) will retail for less than the predecessor Phone (1), which debuted last year. However, in a previous press release, the company had stressed that the Phone (2a) will still represent a ‘clear’ upgrade over the Phone (1).
Regardless, the Nothing Phone (2a) would be an important launch for the company considering how the Phone (2) was priced notably higher than the Phone (1). With the Phone (2a), the company could re-enter the sub-Rs 40K category.
Industrial designer Chris Weightman provided a sneak peek at the new phone’s design in the video, showcasing sketches indicating a transparent back and the signature glyph interface. The circular camera bump teased by Weightman matches up with leaked images of the Phone (2a) that have emerged over the past weeks.
Rumours previously revealed that the upcoming phone features a 6.7″ 120Hz AMOLED screen, is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, and has a 50MP 1/1.5″ Samsung S5KGN9 camera + 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 ultra-wide camera + a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor for the front setup.
Nothing aims to differentiate itself through unique design and clean software rather than focusing solely on top-of-the-line hardware. Speaking about the phone, Pei stated, “At Nothing, we just want to create the best products, irrespective of which product. With Phone (2a), what’s important is great performance and a great camera. That’s what the team has been really focused on, whilst not forgetting about what makes us unique: our design innovation and our software.”
The Phone (2a) will be sold exclusively through Flipkart. Fans can also sign up on Nothing’s website for a chance to get a discount during the Flipkart sale.
